Dr Selina M. Leow
Selina has lived in the North West of Sydney for most of her life. Selina took a part-time job as a Dental Assistant from the moment she was accepted into the prestigious Bachelor of Dentistry course at the University of Sydney. Selina felt that the five (5) years of Dental Assisting experience has helped her appreciate the role of the Dental Assistant and allowed her to create a harmonious workplace. It also means that Selina has an insight into infection control procedures, patient relationship management and office administration which puts her ahead of most Dentists.
Selina was shown the intricacies of four-handed dentistry, a challenging instrument exchange procedure, and then became a trainer for the procedure. Selina Graduated with her degree in 1992. Selina has practiced in a number of suburbs around Sydney including Hornsby, Gordon, Chatswood, Warriewood, Blacktown, Baulkham Hills and in St Clair for 11 years so that she could better improve her skills and learn from more experienced practitioners in all facets of Dentistry.
Selina lives in the North West of Sydney as well and is very involved in the local community. She regularly volunteers her time to give talks to New Mothers Groups in the Blacktown and Castle Hill Area Health Services to give parents the right information to begin good dental habits with their children.
Selina is married to Darren. She has four (4) children of her own and four (4) fish! She is an avid Rugby league supporter and has been a die hard Eels supporter since she was in 5th grade!
Dr Emily Y. Wong
Dr Emily Wong graduated from the Bachelor of Dentistry course at the University of Sydney with Honours Class II. She has worked in practices in Ulladulla and Forestville. Both practices gave her experience in treating families, young children, and the ability to personalize treatment plans. Practising in Country NSW allowed her to perform areas of Dentistry that City Dentists are not exposed to due to the shortage of Dental specialists in country areas.Emily joined Stanhope Dental Centre in May 2005. Whilst in the practice she has mastered the procedural skills of four handed dentistry and is particularly conscious of correct infection control measures. Emily is bilingual and speaks English and Cantonese fluently.
Emily taught piano for 9 years which has reinforced her abilities to interact with children. She is an active member of the Naremburn Asian Australian Church and regularly plays piano for church services. Emily likes going to the gym. She enjoys good food, great wine and the company of good friends. She is a coffee connoisseur – her favourite coffee of choice is ristretto.
Emily is married to Lapman. They are still newly weds having only tied the knot in November 2006!
Louise Giffney
Louise has been a Dental Assistant since 1993. She has experienced all areas of Dental Assisting and Reception. Louise has assisted in all areas of Dentistry ranging from treating children, oral surgery and orthodontic procedures.
Louise has a detailed knowledge of four-handed dentistry and is meticulous with infection control. Louise brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the practice and hence, is the Senior Dental Assistant in the practice.
Louise's partner is Steve and she doesn't have any pets as she is still house training Steve! Louise enjoys living life to the max!
Dr Dinukshi Fernando
Dinu graduated from the University of Sydney with a double degree holding both a Bachelor in Medical Science and Bachelor of Dentistry. She has previously been working in a corporate dental clinic and enjoys all areas of dentistry.
Dinu lives in the North West of Sydney with her younger brother.
Samantha Lobb
Samantha joined Stanhope Dental Centre team in 2007. She works in the practice Mondays through to Thursdays and every Saturday. Samantha has been a dental assistant for six (6) years and so brings a wealth of experience to the team.
Samantha's partner is Colin and she has a ridgeback cross mastiff named Zahra. In fact, Colin & Samantha have matching dogs....how cute!
Kelsey Ingram
Kelsey joined Stanhope Dental Centre in 2007 whilst she was studying Music -Vocals at Hillsong College. Kelsey is originally from Canada and had been a dental assistant in Canada as well. Kelsey is an active and keen member of the team.
Kelsey enjoys the single life still and has been getting used to our wonderful Aussie slang!
Jill Stitt
Jill joined Stanhope Dental Centre in 2008 after a brief rest from the dental industry. Jill brings to the surgery more than a decade of dental nursing experience. Jill has seen all aspects of dental practice including all forms of chairside assistance including the skilled artistry of four handed dentistry, dental reception and practice management.
Jill is married to Drew and has two (2) children. Jill is originally from Scotland allowing Stanhope Dental Centre to truly be a league of all nations!
